Subapical’s third release ‘Bio-Evolved’ by The 15 Dead Minutes is perhaps their rawest and most aggressive yet. Gone are the pluck rhythms and pulsing synths of the previous artists’ projects only to be replaced T15DM’s staccato ultra-aggressive beats and filthy disjointed basslines. Instrumentally, the new tracks clearly portray a sense of chaos and urgency and on the first B-side track ‘Society Now’, a rare but welcome vocal sample actually verbally references chaos and confusion. Perhaps alluding to the band’s experience of modern life.

Whilst every artist on the underground techno-electro-industrial label each has their own sound, there is still a unification between each release that gives the label a totally unique character. Even the visual art for the records is varied and yet retains Subapical’s trademark sinister and inhuman undertones. This particular release features an odd but well-suited piece by Yamako King depicting a person looking out of the window in the usual Subapical grayscale.
