Find out about the gigs not to be missed for the week of 21-27 January.

If you can only get to one gig:

Head into Hackney over the 25th and 26th for Label Mates, a multi-venue festival bringing together a load of great independent labels and some of their top acts. It’s hard to know where to start, there’s so much fantastic music lined up, but be sure to catch The Sly Persuaders, Du Blonde and Fenster.

The best of the rest:

  • The Camden Rocks All Dayer at The Monarch hosts a whole load of rock’n’roll on Saturday 26 January. Confirmed acts include White Eskimo, Last Great Dreamers, The Gulps, Brain Ape, Jay Vee & The Cardinal Sins, The Vulz, Jack and Sally, Dirty Falcon, and Namsaké. Tickets are a tenner, with doors opening from 13.30.
  • Keighley punk outfit Random Hand start their short tour this week, with shows in Northwich, Leeds, and London, before finishing up in Cheltenham and Bridgwater next week.
  • The Engine Rooms in Bow are hosting Fuzzy AF on the 26th, featuring music from Haggard Cat, Frauds, Gamblers and more. Tickets can be bought on the door but are cheaper in advance, so get on it.
  • Titans of DOOM bring their blend of hip-hop, metal and drum’n’bass to Birmingham as they launch their EP Chrysalis at The Flapper on Saturday 26 January. Support from Underground Empire, We Are Athens and others.
