We round up up the gigs you can’t afford to miss for the week of 19 – 25 November. If you can only get to one gig this week Saxon Zine celebrate their first birthday with a bash at The Old Blue Last on Friday 23 November. Music comes courtesy of Table Scraps, Meat Candy, Dead Naked Hippies and Human Pet, plus a selection of DJs. Entry is free, with the promise of a free bevvy for people who get there early. Start forming that queue now, chaps.

Get into the Christmas spirit at the Brixton Hill Studios Christmas Carol Concert on Sunday 25 November, with music from Fonda 500, Bad Parents, Hurtling, Les Futiles and Ham Legion. Also for fans in the area, electro-post-punks Leg Puppy join Autorotation and Pink Eye Club at the Windmill on Monday 19 November.

Pijn are supporting the release of new album Loss with a series of gigs around the country this month alongside Vennart. Catch them in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle this week.
